# Country Fill

The `Country Fill` controls add a customizable color fill to the currently selected country. They can be used to highlight a country while preserving the underlying Earth surface and geographic detail.

## Country Fill Mode

`Country Fill Mode` determines how the fill color is applied to the selected country.

**Standard** applies the fill using a more direct color tint, while **Overlay** blends the fill with the underlying surface colors, preserving more of the original terrain variation.

## Country Fill Color

`Country Fill Color` sets the color used to highlight the selected country.

The final appearance also depends on the selected fill mode, opacity, lighting, and the underlying Earth surface.

## Country Fill Opacity

`Country Fill Opacity` controls the overall opacity of the country fill.

Lower values produce a subtle tint that preserves more of the underlying surface, while higher values make the selected fill color more prominent.

## Country Fill Edge Tint

`Country Fill Edge Tint` increases the fill tint near the edges of the selected country.

Higher values emphasize the transition near the country boundary, helping the selected area stand out more clearly from the surrounding terrain.

## Country Fill Night Multiplier

`Country Fill Night Multiplier` controls the intensity of the country fill on the night side of the Earth.

Lower values reduce the fill contribution in unlit areas, while higher values keep the selected country more visible as it moves into darkness.
