# Country Borders

Country borders define the main outline of the selected country and, when enabled, the borders of other countries in the scene.

These settings control which country borders are displayed, as well as their color, thickness, stroke appearance, and opacity.

## Country Border Display Mode

Controls which country borders are displayed in the scene.

* **Selected Country Only** — displays the border of the currently selected country.
* **All** — displays the selected country border together with the borders of other countries.
* **None** — hides country borders.

## Country Border Color

Sets the color of the main country border line.

## Country Border Thickness

Controls the thickness of the main country border line.

Higher values produce a wider and more prominent border.

## Country Border Stroke Color

Sets the color of the secondary stroke surrounding the main country border.

A bright stroke can be used to create a glow-like highlight, while a dark stroke can create a stronger outline or shadow-like effect.

## Country Border Stroke Thickness

Controls the width of the secondary stroke around the main border.

Increasing the value extends the stroke farther from the main border line, making the effect more pronounced.

## Country Border Stroke Softness

Controls the softness of the secondary border stroke.

Lower values produce a sharper, more defined stroke, while higher values create a softer transition around the border.

## Selected Country Border Opacity

Controls the opacity of the border of the currently selected country.

A value of `1.0` makes the border fully visible, while lower values make it progressively more transparent.

## Other Country Border Opacity

Controls the opacity of country borders other than the currently selected country.

This allows the selected country to remain visually prominent while surrounding country borders are shown with reduced emphasis.

## All Country Border Opacity

Controls the overall opacity of all country borders.

This acts as a global opacity control and affects both the selected country border and other visible country borders.

## Country Border Night Multiplier

Controls the intensity of country borders on the night side of the Earth.

The value is used as a multiplier for both `Country Border Color` and `Country Border Stroke Color`. A value of `1.0` keeps the original colors unchanged, while lower values darken the border and its stroke on the night side.

Values above `1.0` increase their intensity.
